

Miss Cassey has been dancing since a very young age and has several years teaching experience throughout the triad area. Cassey went to the North Carolina School of the Arts for dance where she performed for numerous audiences with lead parts in Peter and the Wolf and The Nutcracker. Additionally, Cassey spent 3 years performing with the Schrader’s Youth Ballet. While in High School Cassey spent her summers training in Master Classes throughout the U.S., at the Adriatic Ballet Dance Intensive in Italy, at the Radio City Rockettes Intensive in California, and right here at the Wake Forest Community Ballet Intensive and North Carolina School of the Arts Dance Intensives. Her awards and honors include National Dance Titles in NV, GA, and FL; Dance Scholarships with the Kids Artistic Review Dance Competition, Showstoppers American Dance Championships, Star Systems National Dance Competition, Star Power Talent Competition, Nexstar Talent Competition, and Encore National Dance Competition. As a dance instructor on the competitive level, Cassey has been able to translate her own expertise and honors in dance into choreography that receives top titles and awards for her students. Cassey also enjoys the Beauty Pageant scene and has received titles as Teen Miss Merry Christmas, Little Miss Lake Hickory, and a top runner-up in the Miss North Carolina pageant. For the past few years, Cassey has expanded her dance knowledge into judging multiple well know Regional and National Dance Competitions. Cassey loves teaching at Pro Dance Academy and looks forward to many years to come!
Rain was born and raised in Maryland and has been dancing since the age of 6. Rain is trained in all styles of dance but through his inspiration from legends like Michael Jackson, James Brown and old school movies like Beat Street and Breakin’, became most passionate about hip hop. While at Ft. Meade High School, Rain broke through barriers by becoming the first male dancer on the Ft. Meade Dance Company. Since then he has been trained in, and has taught, various styles of Hip Hop including, competitive hip hop, Freestyle, King Tutting, Krump, Popping and Old School dance. He has been a backup dancer for Laura Edwards, Gary Beauford, and local Maryland artist Emerj. Rain looks up to Hip Hop legends Poppin Pete, Boppin Andre, and Mr. Wiggles and is excited to join Pro Dance Academy to make sure hip hop will always be taught to students the right way.
Miss Elaina grew up training in hip hop, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, tap, ballet, and more. She is a psychology major with a dance and politics minor at Wake Forest University. She is on the Wake Forest Dance Company, which puts on biannual shows, as well as the Momentum hip hop crew, a student lead hip hop group on campus. She has had the opportunity to choreograph and perform her own piece for the Momentum crew end-of-year showcase. Before dancing at Wake Forest, Elaina trained with Elite Studios Core Competition team and signed with Xcel Talent Agency to work in a variety of styles at competitions and conventions across the Southeast. She has been teaching dance classes for all ages since age twelve. During the summer of 2022, she taught contemporary and jazz classes for the Elite Studios Core team. She is so excited to teach at Pro Dance Academy.

Katie Calhoun is a senior at Wake Forest University from Wellesley, MA. Katie has danced since the age of two and took on competitively dancing throughout her middle school and high school experience. With spending around thirty hours at her studio weekly, Katie has trained in almost all styles at The Greater Boston School of Dance with her favorite being jazz and contemporary. Katie has received scholarships from conventions and won both regional and national awards at competitions. Alongside dancing, Katie has taught a range of classes at her studio and choreographed award wining routines. Katie now participates in her university’s dance company and hopes to continue both choreographing and teaching after she graduates this spring. Katie is excited to be on the teaching staff at Pro Dance Academy and looks forward to sharing her love to dance and performance with her students.
